Drama Series
I'm recently hooked on the Korean med drama series entitle "New Heart". It was recently pinned on the popular drama list of crunchyroll.com. Out of the 23 episodes, I have watched 12 and the suspense just keeps getting better!
I'm no TV person. I never faithfully watched a television series from beginning to end. This behavior may be accounted to my dislike of having to adjust my daily schedule only to miss no series. I hate it when I miss an episode. It felt like you miss a great portion of the development of the plot and when you get to the supposed climax of the drama, you can't make the proper connection because you missed the episode that should have connected everything. It felt hanging. That's why online video streaming sites are a blessing to me.
And while watching one episode of the Korean series, it occured to me where had the Filipino Dramas gone? I tried to search the net for any online video streaming sites that features Filipino or - for a more affectionate nomenclature - Pinoy dramas. My drive to look for Pinoy drama series shifted gear when I found an interesting forum on crunchyroll.com.
The title of the thread is "Why [sic] is [sic] Jdrama and Kdrama better than Pinoy Drama?"
Due to my colonial education and sudden desire to make things right, I felt obliged to correct the grammatical errors of the title and rephrase it for the purpose of this blog entry: "Why are Korean and Japanese drama series better than Filipino drama series?"
Perhaps, I'll leave that question hanging for now. When I get done with "New Heart", perhaps I could already tell.
